Sharing the Restored Gospel Message in Truth and Love: A Personal Spiritual Journey and Mindful Approach to LDS Apologetics

Yes, we want to give a defense of our faith and the hope the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ brings to each one of us - we also want to share that message of God's divine purpose: to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of all through the infinite atonement of Jesus Christ. To give an informed answer and response to the many questions, criticisms, and misinformation about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints one is required to answer from the power and authority of scripture, personal revelation, and established teachings where we derive truth and light.

James 1:5-8 | Genuine Faith and Wisdom

Faith teaches us to act in a manner to which we believe God will help us, strengthen us, and give unto us what we need to withstand the storms in our lives. Scripture is firm on the nature of our faith as it relates to God. Christ constantly chastised the disciples - O ye of little faith. Christ commented on the simplest acts of faith - I have not seen such great faith. Faith even may bring healing into our own lives - Thy faith has made thee whole. Each time Christ ministered to those individuals it is because they had sought him out.

Psalms 1:1-6 – The Two Paths Before Us

Today, we do well to focus on the teachings of our Heavenly Father. Work to walk in faithful obedience to His divine and righteous council. Stand firm on the truth of His personal revelation and will for our lives. Sit with those who are working out their faith with fear and trembling and fighting the good fight (See, Philippians 2:12 and 1 Timothy 6:12, KJV).

Healing is a Mindful and Spiritual Journey Toward Transformation and Restoration of Godly Masculinity and Manhood

The greatest desire is for us to attain a high level of masculinity that is influential, impacting, and inspiring. By becoming a man of influence we are cultivating a true attribute of Christ-like integrity. This significant attribute provides a means by which we are able to influence our family, workplace, and community at large.

Cultivating Joy Through Repentance

True repentance, living the Gospel of Christ, experiencing the presence of the Holy Spirit, and being transformed into Christ's image and likeness is a process we all experience in this life. In order for this to occur, we are asked to do three powerful things.

A Sense of Peace During Times of Grief

Because grief may be powerful and overwhelming, many of us have attempted to avoid experiencing it. This may come when we experience a sense that our faith is lacking in God. However, our Savior understands the depths of our own sorrows. It is the cost of our love toward other people. And it is sadly unfortunate that our society today teaches that we need to get over the loss and move on. One simply does not get over or move on after a significant loss of someone they love.

Stand a Little Taller with Resilient and Bold Faith

We stand a little taller against the growing wave of immorality. We stand a little taller in the spirit of truth and light that is Jesus Christ. We stand with bold and resilient faith and courage to be the light by which those truly seeking refuge and sanctuary are able to come into the fold of God's kingdom. Each one of us, through our faith and commitment to the Gospel Principles established, are able to speak wisdom into those with broken hearts. We are called to serve and minister to those in need. Just as Christ served and ministered to the lowly and broken.

Our Divine Heritage

~Genesis 1:26-27~ When God created us, He made us like Himself; therefore we have the capacity for close, personal fellowship with Him. We can count on Him to meet our need for deep personal connection.  ~ Charles Stanley - Life Principles Daily Bible, NASB, 2011 ~ Read: Genesis 3-4:26; Psalm 2:1-6; Proverbs 1:8-9; and Matthew … Continue reading Our Divine Heritage

Wickedness Always Leads to Unhappiness

As we see, the nature of sexual integrity and teaching of the law of chastity - especially among young people - is quite paramount to the foundation of Christian faith. It is not so much a teaching of oppressing someone. It is not a damaging mindset as the writer of ex-mormon blog insinuates. Neither is this based on fairy tales related to realizing a sense of authentic happiness. Sexual integrity and the teachings of the law of chastity has significant foundation in developing a resilient and healthy lifestyle. One that avoids giving into sexual temptation.

The Just Shall Live By Faith – Responding to Mark Cares of TILM

Cares attempts to question the April 2017 First Presidency Message by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf. This message titled - The Just Shall Live by Faith. In such an attempt to bring into question the heart and spirit of the message Uchtdorf provided: Cares sidesteps and makes false accusations and conclusions. In other words - Mark Cares article is just another example of how modern Evangelical Christians attempt to twist messages and scriptures in order to "Witness" to Mormons and bring them unto Christ.

Thoughts for When You Really Don’t Feel Like Going to Church by Debbie McDaniel – Faith

Another Sunday will be coming around soon. And we need Him. We need each other, like Jesus with skin on. No matter how broken and bruised we might be, we need to just show up and remind one another that we're in this life thing together. That we’re never alone.

Why Knowing About Jesus Is Not Enough | Christianity Today

The article here presents a simple and succinct representation of how Paul's message provides greater depth and meaning to the Christian believer. Both as individuals who are striving from faith to faith, as well as a community of believers who are striving together in that same faith. Peel away all the doctrinal dissents that seemed to have convoluted the simple message of Paul and we come away with a greater richness of his message.

Helpful or Heartless Toward Others?

Today's devotion is from My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers. It is reflective of how we maintain our relationship with Heavenly Father and with those whom we associate with day in and day out. The question we must ask ourselves is this: do we take the time to intercede on behalf of other … Continue reading Helpful or Heartless Toward Others?
